Overview of network security. Basic router and switch security. Router access control links (ACL)s and context based access control (CBAC). Router AAA Security. Router intrusion detection, monitoring, and management. Router site-to-site virtual private network (VPN). Firewall. Security appliance translations and connections. Security appliance ACLs. Pixel (PIX) security appliance AAA. Advanced protocols and intrusion detection. VPN. Security appliance management (case study)
