Syllabus:

An insight into a number of media and communication theories, concepts, models and methodologies, with a particular emphasis on Asian media. A wide range of media, including print, broadcast and the Internet, is examined to provide a comparative overview of critical approaches used in studying and analysing the contemporary media-scape. Including the development of an understanding of audiences, of the processes of communication and of the power of mass media in relation to society and culture.
