Syllabus:

Introduction to molecular biology - the study of living systems and their functioning at the molecular level. Structure and function of DNA, transcription, translation and replication. Mutation and repair of DNA. Gene organisation and expression in prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Genetic basis of development and diseases such as cancer.
