Syllabus:

Antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum nursing care. Neonatal care. Infant feeding. Nutrition for children. Fluid management. Central lines and parenteral nutrition. Documentation and communication of care. Medication administration. Observations. Identification of abnormal symptomatology in children. Care of the child and family in hospital. Paediatric assessment. Nursing care for infants and children. Safety and harm reduction in children. Role parameters for nurse in maternal, paediatric and child health nursing. Parenting skills. Clients at risk.
