Syllabus: Training in the Japanese language aimed at increasing communicative competence in all the skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and cultural knowledge associated with the topics addressed. Kanji, which is of Chinese origin, is introduced. Mainly the polite style is used, though the plain style is introduced. Not available to students whose first language is Japanese.
