Policy studies in education definitions, scope and methods. Comparative education - theory and practice, landmark inquiries and reports, roles of government in education. Contemporary issues national curriculum, national standards, privatisation, education and employment, liberal and vocational in schooling, industrial relations and school teachers. One major policy study in a field relevant to individual student interests and needs.
