Syllabus:

Management of the pharmacy - an overview. Management economics. Management information systems. Use and abuse of computer systems and pharmacy computer applications. The computer as an aid to decision-making. Taxation aspects. Legal and political issues.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have - Developed an appreciation of management economics. Demonstrated an understanding of small business management. Developed the ability to apply basic principles to the management of community pharmacy. Demonstrated an appreciation of some problems of personnel management and, from project work, the practical aspects of running a business.
