Syllabus:

Identification of the principles of action research and explores its professional application for media practitioners.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On completion of this unit, students will be able to - Understand the theoretical principles of action research. Understand the principles of procedure for action research. Design a procedural guide for implementing action research. Apply action researchin a professional situation.

Unit Assessment Breakdown:

Students are to develop plans for utilising action research to enhance their professional development. The plans should approximate 3000 words in length and discuss the following issues to be acted upon and the rationale for taking the action. Working description of the field of action - stages of activity, anticipated outcomes, monitoring techniques and the timetable. Continuous 100%.
