Syllabus:

Record complex financial transactions such as leasing, tax-effect accounting and consolidations, culminating in the preparation of general-purpose financial reports. Emerging issues are also examined, including corporate social responsibility in accounting and environmental accounting.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have - An understanding of the emerging issues facing accountants, and accountants' responsibilities, in the 21st Century. Developed skills in key financial accounting areas and an appreciation of the different accounting procedures used by, and issues faced by, public sector and private sector accountants.
