Syllabus:

Accounting for sole traders with an introduction to corporate accounting, specifically for equity. Topics include - the theoretical concepts and practices involved in the recognition and subsequent accounting for assets, liabilities, equity, revenues, expenses and GST.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have - Skills in solving problems relating to accounting for sole traders. An understanding of the basic concepts underpinning accounting practice. An understanding of accounting for corporate entities.Developed abilities in critical thinking and group communication in a decision-making context using accounting information.
