Syllabus:

Professional field placement in an applied marketing environment in a chosen field in order to apply marketing and sales theory and enhance professional skills. Students are required to complete a minimum of 20 working days at an organisation selected inconsultation with the Course Coordinator.
 

Unit Outcomes:

On successful completion of this unit students will have- Completed a minimum of one month's full-time work experience, or part time equivalent, with an employer in a sales or marketing related capacity. Gained an insight into the application of sales and marketing principles in the workplace. Developed the professional and personal attributes necessary to succeed in the sales and marketing field, including sales skills, teamwork, and reliability. Prepared a portfolio of professional work undertaken and a CV for presentation to prospective employers. Become ready for employment in a sales or marketing position. Understood job search requirements.
