Syllabus:Radial flow in a porous medium and inflow equations, Principles of transient test analysis, Pressure draw down and build-up testing and analysis, Injection well testing, Gas Well injection, Drill stem testing, Well testing planning and execution, Well test analysis tools and Hydraulic fracture analysis.
 
Unit Outcomes: On completion of this unit students will have - Participated in advanced training in well test interpretation. Been taken from the simple classical techniques to the application of derivative analysis. Covered mechanical testing methods. Used their knowledge to correctly determine, the quality of the formation and type, identification of the hydrocarbon type and in the estimation of the minimum quantity of hydrocarbon present based on information obtained from a production test performed on an exploration discovery.
