Syllabus:Quality improvement concepts, criteria auditing techniques. Financial statement analysis, cost analysis, casemix and financial management, budgeting and the process of managerial control, short term financial management, health care statistics, forms design, printing and stock management systems.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the design and methodology associated with criteria auditing. Display an ability to interpret information from financial statements. Discuss cost analysis and its place within financial services management. Demonstrate knowledge of health care statistics. Design a health record form according to Australian Standard 2828 - 1999 and prepare its specifications for printing. Describe the means of controlling forms within a health care facility.
