Syllabus:Continues from Visual Arts Theory 491 the discussion of contemporary art and theory. Students are also given instruction in close reading and writing of critical texts and the production of an exergesis.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- The ability to research, construct and critically evaluate a long essay dealing with their own practice as emerging artists. Achieved a high level of intellectual awareness of the debates and issues driving contemporary are tend locate their practice within.
