Power conversion devices for stand-alone renewable energy systems. Charge controllers and battery management. Operation of grid-connected photovoltaic systems, Inverter technology for grid-connected PV systems. Building integrated photovoltaic. Grid-connection and diesel-integration of wind energy systems. Dynamics of wind energy systems. Modelling and simulation of renewable energy systems. Specialised photovoltaic applications - refrigeration, water treatment, solar home systems and solar pumping.
