12706 (v.2) Electrical Circuits 104 or any previous version
Real, reactive and apparent power. Power factor and power factor correction. Series-parallel magnetic circuits and electro-mechanical energy conversion principles. Single phase transformers; equivalent circuits, regulation and efficiency. Three phase circuits. Induction motors; rotating field theory, equivalent circuit, squirrel cage motors, torque, losses, efficiency and speed control. Fractional horse-power motors: stepper motors, reluctance motors, split phase motors and capacitor start motors and stepper motors.
