STRP-BUMIN v.1 Business of Mining Stream (MIntlBus)
Major/Stream Overview
This major/stream is part of a larger course. Information is specific to the major/stream, please refer to the course for more information.
This stream consists of units that provide a specialisation in an aligned discipline area that compliments and enhances employability of Master of International Business graduates already working in or interested in careers in the mining sector. It has been developed in close collaboration with business and the resources industry to ensure the syllabus is comprehensive and will meet legal registration requirements.

Major/Stream Entry and Completion Details
All students entering this stream require a Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering or metallurgical engineering, mining geology, Mine management, supply chain, governance, mining finance, economics and commerce. Applicants with other qualifications and experience may only be admitted at the discretion of the Post Graduate Course Coordinator. Mid-year intake students would be preferred to demonstrate professional practice and be currently employed by an existing mining or resource company, but not essential and dealing with operational and/or planning work duties in or about the mine. Applicants with other experience may only be admitted at the discretion of the Post Graduate Course Coordinator.
Major/Minor/Stream Organisation
This stream is delivered in the form of lectures and tutorials, either face to face or online. Students are required to complete a project unit in consultation with academic staff or external university recognised associates, inclusive of the Unit Coordinator. This stream would require students to attend intensive classes at the Perth City campus (Graduate School of Business).
Duration and Availability
This stream is available in Trimester 1 and Trimester 2.
