MINU-PHOTO v.1 Photography Minor
Minor Overview
A Specialisation/Minor consists of a minimum of two core units and no electives that extends, broadens or complements discipline studies or is relevant to student interests. Students wanting to study a Specialisation/Minor must have the equivalent credit as elective units within their course.
This minor provides students with the opportunity to develop professional skills in the area of photography using both traditional and digital techniques.
Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks and other essential study materials.
Minor Entry and Completion Details
Students undertaking the B-ARTS Bachelor of Arts, B-COMM Bachelor of Commerce or the B-SCNCE Bachelor of Science (Science) may be eligible to study a minor (100 credits) where the course includes a minimum of 100 elective credits. Credit permitting, students can elect to study a maximum of two minors, provided minors are from a different discipline area to the course or major being studied. Refer to the ‘Rules for Minors’, located under ‘Minors’ in the ‘Definitions’ tab of this Handbook.
Students enrolled in the MJRU-PHOTO Photography Major cannot enrol in this MINU-PHOTO Photography Minor.
Credit for Recognised Learning
Applications for credit towards a course are assessed on an individual basis. Credit reduces the amount of learning required to complete the course and may be granted for formal education qualifications, non-formal learning from non-award programs of study and informal learning through work experiences. Duration and Availability
This minor is one semester full-time or equivalent part-time study. Some units may be available via external study and some units may not be available in every semester. This minor is available to international students studying in Australia on as study visa.
