Syllabus: Use a systems approach to assess, diagnose, manage, document and evaluate care related to specialised health care needs of patients/families across the life span. Apply therapeutic communication and meet paramedic competency standards in selected clinical contexts including using alternative pathways. Medication dosage calculations. Integrated care of the unconscious, spinal and multi trauma patient. Management of invasive therapy and monitoring. End of life care. Awareness of physiology of childbearing and ability to manage emergency delivery/obstetric emergencies. Sudden unexpected death in infancy. Peer teaching and skill demonstration.
