Syllabus: | An exploration of the diverse role that textiles has played and continues to play in contemporary art and design practice, with a focus on habitable space. Students will undertake experimental three-dimensional explorations in cloth. Outcomes may include such forms as: installation, work for the body, object based work, architectural interventions, work for interior architecture, furnishing, or performance based work. Students will create a more focused body of work that extends previous research investigations. Projects may be individual or collaborative. |
