Syllabus: | Well Logs. Introduction to well logs. Logging environment. Caliper, temperature logs. Electrical logs (SP, resistivity, induction). Radioactive logs (gamma, density, neutron). NMR and sonic logs. Fundamentals of petrophysics. Principles of formation evaluation. Borehole Seismic: Vertical seismic profiling - acquisition. Various survey types. Analysis of transmitted and reflected waves. Time and depth processing (VSP to CMP mapping and migration), P and shear wave transofrmations and analysis. Cross-well seismic. Travel time tomography. |
