Syllabus: | This unit will focus on the impact of globalisation on health from a public health perspective. Students will be introduced to key concepts and frameworks for the analysis of global public health. They will examine global health inequalities and the structural factors which produce and maintain them together with the major institutions and players in global health. Students will examine a number of global health issues including climate change and health and gender and health. Key concepts include globalisation, inequality, social justice, human rights, institutions and structures. |
