|
Syllabus: | This studio focuses on development strategy and the integration of conflicting interests, analogous to the kind of assignment that might be issued by a government planning agency. Projects typically involve redevelopment or revitalisation of an existing urban neighbourhood or district, rather than a defined urban site, with a focus on diagnosis of problems and opportunities, community engagement, protection of natural and historic resources, public investment strategies and design controls for private development. Studio exercises will be selected to address areas under investigation by a local municipality or department of state government, providing an opportunity to work directly with affected communities. |
Unit references, texts, outcomes and assessment details | The most up-to-date information about unit references, texts and outcomes, will be provided in the unit outline. |
