| Syllabus: | This unit analyses contemporary environmental issues from an economic perspective. It includes topics such as the theory of environmental externalities; common property resources and public goods; resource allocation over time; economic valuation of the environment; the optimal use of non-renewable and renewable resources; and ecological economics. The unit covers traditional environmental topics topgether with a global perspective on current ecological issues such as population growth and global climate change. |
