307396 v.1 Applied Epidemiology and Biostatistics Major (Master)
Introduction
Open to all Health professionals. This major within the Master of Public Health aims to develop a critical understanding of appropriate epidemiological methods, the ability to apply these methods and undertake research investigations recognising the likely problems that may be encountered in the process of conducting epidemiological research. Students can apply their specific discipline perspective within the dissertation or research project component.

N1 Students who select Research Project 650 will need to complete a total of six optional units.
N2 Students must complete Research Dissertation 601 if they first select Research Dissertation 600.
NB Students may only select the dissertation if they have a course weighted average of 70% over both semester one and two. (The dissertation is comprised of two units).
