Introduction
This course develops the ability to plan, manage, monitor and coordinate systems of health care delivery. It is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for senior administrative and planning positions in hospitals and other health service areas. It is aimed at both health professionals intending to acquire management and administrative skills and non-health professionals seeking a career in health administration.
Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
A basic qualification at degree level or its equivalent in an appropriate profession together with work experience in health administration. Applicants without qualifications and work experience, may be required to undertake bridging units for admission.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
Duration and Availability
This fee-paying course is one year full-time or equivalent part-time study.
Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
