Syllabus: | Spatial grammar and local mannerisms. Architecture Studio includes two integrated components: Design and Methods. Component 1 Design: Lessons in spatial grammar and local mannerisms. Projects focus on developing an understanding of how architectural space can be described and occupied by applying knowledge of spatial typologies and relationships of building site and people to the design of a series of studies of small dwellings and a collective space, in generic and suburban settings. Component 2 Methods: Investigation of the relationships and translations between modelling (digital and physical), drawing (digital and physical) and photography, and their application in design. |
