Syllabus: | The corrosion environment in oil and gas flowlines. Carbonic acid corrosion mechanisms, kinetics and reactions. Corrosion types for different operating phases. Top of the line corrosion and under deposit corrosion. Predictive modelling, indentification, detection and corrosion measurement. Criteria for determining corrosion action for high level internal corrosion problems. Developing technologies and improved maintenance plans to minimise corrosion. Corrosion resistant alloys, inhibitors, corrosion protective coatings, cathodic protection, intelligent pigging and monitoring devices. |
