Syllabus: | Culture technology of commercially important marine and freshwater finfish including salmonids, native Australian freshwater fish, carps, tilapia, barramundi, snapper and black bream. Production cycles and management practices. Hypophysation techniques. Principles of aquaculture nutrition and feed formulation. Digestion and absorption of formulated feeds. Feed efficiency and diet quality. Planning, design and construction of a system or device related to aquaculture; for example, a functioning biofilter, a coral culture tank, a fish or crustacean rearing system. |
