Syllabus: | In-depth treatment of software engineering for embedded systems, ubiquitous and pervasive computing environments. Emphasis is placed on design and testing of software for resource constrained computing devices including personal digital assistants and mobile phones. Particular issues considered are memory and CPU constraints, human interface design and testing and other topics related to reliability and mobility. Topics include design principles, abstractions, real time kernels, software architectures, system specification, programming languages, operating system, debugging and testing. |
