Syllabus (HB): | This unit underpins the production of the student newspaper "The Western Independent" with students undertaking work in copy and picture editing, headline writing and newspaper design and layout. The unit addresses the values that support editorial decision making in a contemporary community newspaper and presents a model for editorial management. Students will also examine the relationship between design and reportage and what impact they have on newspapers. |
