Syllabus: | An introduction to the skills required for production design for screen, including an understanding of the organisation and makeup of 'art departments'; technical issues and differences between Film and Television production. The unit covers both studio set design and location finding and documentation, as well as the integration of graphics; special effects, the technique of 'breaking down' a script; and strategies for props buying and set decoration. |
