This Graduate Certificate is an exit award of the MC-ISYS v.2 Master of Information Systems and Technology

Course Entry and Completion Details
Applicants for a Graduate Certificate are required to meet University academic and English language entry standards; details are provided at http://study.curtin.edu.au/. Applicants generally require a Bachelor Degree or equivalent credit gained for recognised learning. Any specific course entry and completion requirements must also be met.
An undergraduate degree in a related discipline OR a minimum of 5 years relevant workplace learning.
Credit for Recognised Learning
Applications for credit towards a course are assessed on an individual basis. Credit reduces the amount of learning required to complete the course and may be granted for formal education qualifications, non-formal learning from non-award programs of study and informal learning through work experiences. Course Organisation
Graduate Certificates contain a series of units which may include compulsory (core), optional or elective units to cater for student preferences.
Course Learning Outcomes
A graduate of this course can:
1. recommend and manage innovative uses of technology and data driven approaches to improve business and societal outcomes locally and globally
2. evaluate the impact of existing and emerging information and communications technologies on stakeholders, including cultural, ethical, inclusivity, privacy, security and sustainability considerations
3. engage stakeholders and access, evaluate and synthesize information from multiple sources to identify business requirements
4. apply systems theory and systems development techniques to design and develop information systems appropriate to a range of business organisations and to participate effectively in a global environment
Unit 5. effectively communicate information and system business cases, requirements, policies and procedures, strategies, system designs, specifications and implementation details to a professional standard
This graduate certificate consists of 4 units of study (100 credits), studied over one-semester full-time or equivalent part-time.
