Syllabus: | The global balance of economic life, and with it the dynamics of employment and workplace relations are changing. In this unit we will study the changing nature of industrial relations and human resource management through placing these areas in a wider global theoretical and empirical. We will look at issues of employment practice in small firms, the public sector, indigenous employment, and diversity management, skill shortages and high performance work systems amongst others. |
