Syllabus: | This unit adopts a cross-cultural approach to the development of successful marketing strategies in Asia. It focuses on similarities and differences across cultures to investigate marketing elements within the local environment that are culturally specific, as well as elements that are culturally universal; by examining both the context and the interactions that influence the effectiveness of marketing in Asia. The role and impact of governance, ethics, social responsibility and politics are analysed and appraised within the Asian marketing context. This unit further focuses on the development of culturally appropriate marketing strategies and assesses the implications of key social issues for the future of marketing in Asia. |
