Syllabus: | Architectural Design and Technical Integration. This studio is a summation of the Architecture Studio units for the Bachelor of Applied Science and includes two integrated components: Design and Methods. Component 1 Design: Studies into the design and development of buildings of medium rise, complexity and scale. Investigations into the project contexts and relationships between site and building. Integration of developed ideas and services into the building form and envelope. Development of strategies to apply constructional, servicing, organisational and environmental systems and processes. Component 2 Methods: Application of advanced visual, oral and written techniques required to communicate the student's resolved architectural proposition and body of architectural work. This unit integrates directly with Environmental and Technological Strategies in Architecture 302. |
