Syllabus: | This unit builds on knowledge from prerequisite units to explore history and evolution of the immune system, compare innate and acquired immunity, discuss immune cell migration, and examine the MHC gene complex. Infection, inflammation and vaccine development are covered and students will perform selected basic immunoassays used in medical laboratories. |
