| Syllabus: | Across a series of seminar sessions, students will collectively examine the principles and issues shaping professional communications and design practice. Broad areas of focus include the nature of ethical agency and address; the social, institutional and commercial contexts shaping professional practice; the ethical dimensions to specific forms of professional communication, audio-visual representation and creative design; and the ethical issues associated with changes to communication contexts derivingfrom such trends as digitisation and media convergence, corporatisation and multiculturalism. |
