Syllabus: | Application of basic topographic and cartographic principles. Application of CAD software packages to represent spatial data in two dimensions including but not limited to - coordinate systems, element placement and manipulation, editing, reference files and precision plotting. Field camp involving teamwork and organisational skills in order to plan, execute and present results of a topographic survey. The field camp includes but is not limited to - reconnaissance, traversing, levelling, detail survey, topographic mapping and report presentation of results. |
