Syllabus: | This unit provides a breakdown of the individual components that make up the Australian health care system. You will examine regulation, governance, policy, funding and health care of specific groups including indigenous, rural, mental health and aged care. The unit discusses the delivery of health care and medical services, primary care and community health services. You will also compare the Australian health system with those of other developed countries and conclude with a critical discussion of challenges facing the Australian health system and future trends. |
