Syllabus: | Development of knowledge and skills for the clinical presentation, diagnosis, assessment and management of common neuro-musculoskeletal disorders of elbow, wrist and hand in adults and children. Topics include management of burns, reconstructive surgery,sporting injuries, lateral epicondylalgia, tenosynovitis and carpal tunnel syndrome as well as disorders requiring splinting and plastering. Development of clinical competencies in musculoskeletal injury prevention and management, workplace assessment and intervention, vocational rehabilitation, work hardening and case management within the context of the health care system and insurance legislation. |
