Syllabus: | This unit covers endocrine and other specialised clinical biochemistry tests. It includes the investigation of thyroid, hypothalamic/pituitary/adrenal disorders, as well as reproductive function, covering both male/female infertility, pregnancy, antenatal screening and assessment of foetal health. Other topics covered include inborn errors of metabolism, tumour markers, therapeutic drug monitoring, molecular diagnostics, iron metabolism, advanced immunoassay, measurement uncertainty, proficiency testing, and method and instrument evaluations and tumour markers. |
