Syllabus: | Theory and design concepts for slender struts. Extension of moment distribution methods to problems with settling supports, lack of fit and non uniform cross section members. Analysis of frames including sway frames using approximate, slope defection and moment distribution methods. Application of Influence lines and virtual work to frames, trusses and beams. |
