Syllabus (HB): | An introduction to the theory and practice of short format, TV current affairs. It allows students to extend their journalistic and technical skills to produce longer stories for television that permit more substantive investigation of the subject matter. Working in groups, students undertake research, planning, interviewing, shooting, scripting and editing of their stories. Students also examine and analyse current affairs-style programs on Australian TV to evaluate and assess their individual approaches to sound journalism, story telling and program making. |
