This course is designed to extend theoretical knowledge and associated techniques to a higher level.
A degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution, or an equivalent qualification, and a minimum of three years professional experience, or an appropriate honours degree, first or second class. Students may enter with qualifications in disciplines other than business, but need to be prepared to undertake additional units at graduate level to provide them with a broad foundation in commerce.
This course is by research and normally requires one to two years of full-time or equivalent part-time study.
This course is studied as a research degree. The content of the degree should be determined in consultation with the postgraduate coordinator within the specific research area.
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
It is a requirement that two-thirds of this course be undertaken by research and only one-third by coursework. Students should not enrol in this research course to receive a relevant postgraduate diploma but rather have undertaken it as a requisite for admission.
