Syllabus:	Rationale for a public health approach to injury prevention. Scientific principles of injury causation magnitude and cost of the injury problem and prevention models. Educational and behavioural, engineering and technological, legislative and regulatory strategies. Effective design and implementation of prevention programs. Evaluating programs. Data sources. Use of data. Limitations of data. Investigation of common types of injury. Practice in the application of principles of prevention. Case studies ininjury control.
