Syllabus: Concepts of Pharmaceutical care, patient assessment, patient education, patient monitoring and evidence-based medicine. Cardiovascular risk, hypertension, ischaemic heart disease, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias. Constipation and diarrhoea, dyspepsia,peptic ulcer disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome. Tuberculosis, pneumonia and urinary tract infection. Diabetes mellitus Asthma, chronic airways limitation. Otitis externa, otitis media, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, laryngitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, the common cold, influenza and infectious mononucleosis. Renal disorders. Pressure, arterial, venous and diabetic ulcers. Ocular disorders including styes, chalazions, dacryocystitis, conjunctivitis and glaucoma.
