Syllabus:	Different approaches to understanding the nature of international relations, the essential characteristics of the international system, the state, consequences of the lack of overriding government, power and security struggles, international law, policy formulation, capabilities, economics, military, negotiations, communications, policy-making problems, domestic influence on policy making, balance of power and nuclear weapons.
