Syllabus: Introduction to medical geography. Application of medical geography - diseases, social and political aspects of medical geography, medical geography for health systems and organisations, medical geography aspects of emergencies. Methods - descriptive method and analytical method and geographic information systems. Water and health - water contamination, water stress sanitation, waterborne diseases. Water access and privatisation. Water and health problems in developed, developing and newly industrialised countries.
