Syllabus: Information structures and data transformation including XML (Extensible Markup Language), XML schemas and XSLT (Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation). Communication protocols and definitions for web services including SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol), UDDI (Universal Discovery Description and Integration) and WSDL (Web Services Description Language). Web service development (client and server). Security and data integrity. Integration of web services.
